Substance Use and Mental Health Resources

The BHRC best practice for establishing substance use services is to establish care a substance use therapist, connect with a primary care provider or medical provider to discuss your concerns, and connect with a recovery coach or group.

If you are interested in exploring Residential Substance Use Disorder Services (RSUD), the first step is to complete an ASAM assessment. The ASAM can be completed by many substance use professionals in the community and is used to determine the appropriate level of care. If you have a current treatment provider, please contact them and they will schedule your ASAM. Once your ASAM is complete, your provider will make a referral(s) to the appropriate substance use treatment(s) that are indicated on the assessment. If you do not have a current treatment provider, call the BHRC at 608-266-22244 and we can connect you to a treatment provider who can support you on your recovery jouney.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis, please contact the Journey Mental Health Crisis Line at 280-2600 or 988. If your needs are more immediate, please go directly to your nearest ER or call 911.
